FRANKLIN SAGER ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR CONGRESS IN NY-22. Promises to Bring Education & Business Experience, Sound Judgment, and Leadership with Integrity to Office

Broome County, New York – Friday, March 15, 2019 – Franklin Sager of Port Crane, NY, and teacher at Johnson City High School, Treasurer at City Church in Binghamton and Norwich, Secretary of the Camp Sertoma Alumni Association, and Vice-President for the Johnson City Teachers Association, declared his candidacy for Congress in New York’s twenty-second Congressional District today. Mr. Sager filed with the Federal Election Commission on January 18.

“I am excited and honored to announce my candidacy for Congress. I believe that my vast leadership, business, and education experience can benefit the people of central New York.”

“I believe that Congress has become increasingly entrenched in partisanship and needs new leadership to advance the blessings of liberty for all Americans.”

“More importantly, the primary role of a Congressperson is to be a tireless advocate for the people in their district. I will work hard every day to ensure the opportunity and promise of the American Dream is available to everyone in Central New York.”

“As a professional educator, I understand the plight of students, teachers, and administrators. Over-regulation makes teaching more difficult for teachers and programming more arduous for administrators. Teachers are increasingly being asked to do more with less. Teachers unions across the United States are increasingly under attack. I will fight for students and teachers alike.”

“As a local business leader, I see the hardship unnecessary regulation causes. I recently spoke with an independent truck driver who detailed the difficulty he has maintaining his business with the ever-increasing regulations he has to comply with. I will fight for jobs, regulations that make sense, and the expansion of the tax reform initiated by President Trump.”

“I look forward to a positive campaign that focuses on policy issues important to the people of central New York.”
